Ethiopian Aviation Academy (EAA), ICAO TRAINAIR Plus member and IATA authorized global training centre, has graduated 20 Cabin Crew trainees from Mozambique, who will serve the newly established Ethiopian-Mozambique airline. The training is further testimony to the crucial role Ethiopian Airlines is playing in producing trained aviation professionals for indeginous African carriers and supporting the growth of the continent’s aviation industry. Regarding the graduation of the flight attendants, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam remarked, “We are pleased to once again contribute our share to the growth of Africa’s aviation industry by training 20 flight attendants for Ethiopian-Mozambique airline.

Ethiopian Mozambique Airlines, a start-up carrier established in partnership with Ethiopian Airlines, is set to start flights on December 1, 2018. The new airline will serve 8 domestic points in Mozambique including the capital Maputo, Napula, Tete, Pemba, Beira, Nacala, Quelimane and Chimoio. The launch of the carrier in partnership with Ethiopian Airlines will avail much needed and better air connectivity with in Mozambique and to and from Mozambique, thereby boosting the share of indigenous African carriers in the continent’s air transport market. Regarding the upcoming launch of services, Tewolde Gebremariam, GCEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, said: “The launch of Ethiopian Mozambique Airlines is part of our Vision 2025 multiple hub strategy in Africa of boosting air connectivity in our vast continent to support its socio-economic transformation. Thanks to Ethiopian Mozambique flights, the traveling public in Mozambique, Government officials, tourists, investors and business people will enjoy safe, secured much reliable, affordable and convenient air connectivity.
